Postless post

Hmm... not really sure what to blog about today. Initially thought of toying with the mozzie but something that I usually hate to hear suddenly rang loud & clear in my mind.

E + R = O

To the person who knows what I'm saying out there, thank you for always reminding me. I apologize for interrupting your lecture with my message just now. It (da equation) only popped into my mind after I sat around for a while... Maklumlah, I'm not one of the brightest kid around..

Have a few pics to post... will save it for next time only la.

tired.. need to sleep....

Thank you!

First & foremost, a very big thank you to all my sepet kakis who took time to help out and join Shin & my QDA pre-screening sessions today! I was so worried that nobody would come as we did not really publicize it... & thus very touched when all the sepets turned out in full force! I love everyone so much!! Of course, much appreciation also to other friends who turned up as promised!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!~

Progress!

Woo hoo~

I'm cheering because there's finally been some progress in Shin and my final year project. I've noticed that I've become pretty optimistic (thanks to u-know-who) since I dunno when, and I'll bet my old Smelly Gang chums from high school will turn their heads at their once "autistic" ducky. hee hee. I miss all the Smelly Gang babes, everyone looks so ravishing now!!

We're finally going to start ashing tomorrow and the QDA pre-screening on Thursday & Friday. Yea yea... I'm selectively overlooking the miserable news of hexane & thimbles not being here yet. thus, fat analysis is stalled. so.........whatttttt!! It's just a minor setback which will be corrected with proper measures in due time!

Shirley and Wi Yee finally wrapped up their final production of meatballs today & right before 7 too, ahem.. way better than the last time. so must cheer for these 2 great ladies! whee!

The Rottweiler had me on all ears last weekend with its interesting stories and solo piece. I laughed and teared at its stories, and couldn't help feeling stirred by a few ending touches in its solo. Well, I believe I'm more partial to its style of performing the solo pieces compared to the others from the pack. I haven't seen The Snail perform, though I heard he's a master in drawing out laughter. Damn, I always feel like smacking The Snail's face because it looks so pompous! I hope to see it in action soon.

To be loyal, I think Bubu Bear's contagious energy should be applauded too. The Rottweiler likened Bubu Bear's energy to The Boss's, and i think it's quite a compliment because The Boss is the master of the pack!! When the Rottweiler kept putting Bubu Bear down in front of the crowd in fake mockery, I couldn't help feeling somewhat amused but mostly proud when a little birdie chirped back in retaliation with a loud voice... "He's adorable!!!"

Hey Buu~ you rock la!!!

that dashing man...

Remember to grow old with me yea.. we will terrorize the Mc D counters and call up all the fast food hotlines and order non-existent food. I'm loving the Rottweiler already for suggesting these ingenious ideas.

omg... "Can I hv 2 parts of hydrogen & 1 part of oxygen pls??" The Rottweiler's dad is classic wey! No wonder the Rottweiler worships its papa..... & inherits its funny bone. May the Rottweiler & the Snail have fun terrorizing their Mc Ds in the Merlion City~

Another classic shared by Min Jin:

I love to draw.
When I grow up,
I want to be a drawer.

Dear Juniors..

lalala... spunkz is very happy because Internet is whizzing fast today.

Just went through Teh Fly's blog and found out that we're sharing ALMOST the same sentiments about our intelligent and very diligent juniors. Just caught news today that Fuziah had already sounded her proteges to start production right after their first presentation which is..... very soon.

Have a very bad feeling that the juniors will be jostling to use the lab with us in a time not very long from now. Especially I-Have-Extra-Time's ardent fans who will be crowding (read: fawning) around IT wherever IT leaves IT's fart, not to mention others.

I'm not against smart people. I just don't like it when they leave their dirty work behind, thinking that those things will be cleaned up by themselves. You think what? Magic?? In the end, it's us whose place you menceroboh & leave the mess behind who have to do the dirty work for you. And Don't think you're the only one in a hurry.. we need to use the apparatus too especially when we have the good sense to book the stuff early and you have the cow sense to ask people to let you use first just because you think you or your project is oh so important or in a hurry more than us. *E-f-f-i-u la..*

Back to juniors... Well, I'm not being selfish or what. But I believe I'm echoing other seniors' sentiments as well. The lab apparatus, which you all might not know, are rather insufficient & we're in a rush to beat the deadline. We'd very much appreciate it if you guys will be considerate enough not to take up so much precious space & apparatus that we believe that we need more than you guys now?

Remember, we have at most till January and you guys up till April. So think long & hard, swallow & digest, understand & regurgitate these facts...

We'll really appreciate it.

Colours of Diwali

The sizzling spatters of freshly fermented thosai hitting the hot plate
sends a familiar yet unmistakable piquant aroma,
wafting through the crisp morning air,
awakening all olfactory senses & tingling the sleepy nerves

The glorious sun rays generously brings out
the vibrant hues of these buildings in Masjid India

"Calcutta! I am a taxi driver in Calcutta! Lalalalalalalala.... Calcutta!"
The little voice in my head bursts out into a small song...
playing.. and replaying...

The street erupts into life as shops & stalls alike open at full-fledge

The little sidewalk offers plenty of pretty sights..

Colourful clothes that makes my heart give a little leap
because I love colours!

Murukku, oma poodie & other savoury snacks lined up on tables..

Eye-catching sweet meats piled up in towering pagodas

And a beautiful Chindian boy posing with newly stringed garlands

And here's to wishing every Malaysian an early Happy Deepavali!

Capricious weather

Cinderella-for-a-day's penned thoughts

It started innocently enough...

While cruising along Gurney Road, I let my mind and windows to the soul meander all round, taking in the sights and scents as usual. All of a sudden, I caught sight of a fleet of rain clouds hanging precariously above us. At the same time, the sun was also beating down hotly on our backs. Thus, all rainy thoughts were brushed aside.

The time on the road can be either boring or interesting, depending. Somewhere along the highway, a scattered array of leaves resting peacefully on the tarred road were suddenly swept to life by the prancing wind. Being the tease it is, the gentle breeze blew the leaves up in the air, creating a beautiful sight of leaves raining slowly onto the road. The leaves, awoken from their tired slumber, danced to the rhythm & melody of the teasing wind... treading on each note with acute precision & swaying ever so gracefully... before settling down again... peacefully.

Just when we passed by Menara TM, the deceptive weather took a turn and torrential rain swooped down on us. Caugh unawares, we were held hostage below one of the many highway flyovers. As we set off once the drizzle slowed down, the capricious weather man decided to play a trick on us again. Cold rain was pelted on us not long after we got back to the tracks again. Braving the sharp drops that blurred the vision, the courageous biker boy rode with gusto past a huge pile of puddle... The strong force of the puddle water swept the damsel's sandal away, submerging and drowning the poor kutsu which flailed helplessly.

The sandal?

Well, the owner got it back. Thanks to the brave biker boy who hopped off his bike and ran helter skelter to retrieve it & slip the sandal back on Cinderella's rightful foot.

Here's the cupcake I got for Buu~

It's from Pretty Frosting.

I'm smitten by their name card.
So pretty!

They only had this Carrot Walnut Cupcake With Cheese left when I got to their stall at Amcorp's flea market. I was hoping to get the chocolate ganache ones. Better luck next time!

Bisou's cupcakes from Cass's blog looked positively mouth-watering too!

Forgive us for the cupcake ga-ga fever...

Stupidity

This.is.a.rant.Go.away.if.you're.looking.for.positive.vibes.

I went to uni early this morning with renewed zeal & vigour but came home feeling dejected like a pile of stale poop.

Freaking broke a condenser when a bunsen burner from out of nowhere toppled on the retort stand, sending it with the condenser with a heart-shattering (for me) crash to the floor.

I can't imagine how poor I'd be this month.

Stupidity. Piss be on me. I think piss is really on me. Of all things, this had to happen.

Stupid, stupidi, stupido, stupidos!

*lets out blood curdling scream and pulls hair*

I think I have an infinite capacity of being stupid.

Bye bye Halloween~

CAUTION: A Boring Post

Sad to say, I spent Halloween doing no trick-or-treating yesterday. Few days earlier, I'd envisioned meself spending a spooky Halloween, surrounded by Jack-O-Lanterns, spiders, cobwebs, witches, ghouls, broomsticks, mummies, corpses and stuff... Instead, I spent the whole night sifting through the past week's papers. *sounds of cold water slushing*

Oh well. It wasn't all that unproductive the whole night. I was pretty happy though to settle down and did 2 facial masks to save my poor face that's gonna roughen into sandpaper if I don't do something to it soon. I'm no vainpot, that's only a once-in-a-blue-moon pampering ritual I shower myself when I suddenly remember I'm a girl too. And girls are meant to feel delicate on touch.

Back to the topic, Halloween's not complete w/o a costume makeover. So here's a perky she-devil to commemorate Halloween for me this year.. ta daa~

sigh.. u dun look a wee bit evil @ all..

----------------------------------------***---------------------------------------

Shopping malls sure do stock some weird stuff nowadays, I think.

Like this freaking big onion.

Where da hell do they grow that?!?

Okay, I'm not sure if I'd purchase these too.

I like me chocolate brown
(yes, Buu. dat includes you..),
not in candy hues like em strawberry & orange flavoured choc
here.

*shudders*

Me thinks the colouring will dye me hair candy floss pink if me consume it.

i'm at a lost for words today. blogger's block.
hrrmmph.
can't think of any reasons to linger on this post any longer.
