Colours of Diwali

The sizzling spatters of freshly fermented thosai hitting the hot plate
sends a familiar yet unmistakable piquant aroma,
wafting through the crisp morning air,
awakening all olfactory senses & tingling the sleepy nerves

The glorious sun rays generously brings out
the vibrant hues of these buildings in Masjid India

"Calcutta! I am a taxi driver in Calcutta! Lalalalalalalala.... Calcutta!"
The little voice in my head bursts out into a small song...
playing.. and replaying...

The street erupts into life as shops & stalls alike open at full-fledge

The little sidewalk offers plenty of pretty sights..

Colourful clothes that makes my heart give a little leap
because I love colours!

Murukku, oma poodie & other savoury snacks lined up on tables..

Eye-catching sweet meats piled up in towering pagodas

And a beautiful Chindian boy posing with newly stringed garlands

And here's to wishing every Malaysian an early Happy Deepavali!
