Stinky Tauhu

Most who of you have heard of this dish, which is pretty much an acquired taste, would know to get it from Taman Connaught's night market. Being an advocate of this pungent snack, I'd manage to satisfy my non-Wednesday cravings by frequenting this stall in Desa Setapak.

This uncle starts his "Chow Tau Foo" operations from 10.10 pm till the wee hours of 12.30 am or 1 am depending on how brisk business runs. The beancurd is sold in varying portions at RM 3, RM 4 & RM 5.

Delicious beancurd frying away in the sizzling oil. How I relish the smell from afar! Admittedly, this uncle's beancurd ain't as pungent as those from Taman Connaught. But still, it packs a punch for any smelly, stinky and pungent beancurd convert out there!

Silky beancurds fermenting away in their smelly bath tub...
Go on, I love you when you stink-a-link~~~

If you happen to be mamaking away at BRJ or MRJ in Wangsa Maju, just cross the road and walk for about 80 meters towards the LRT Station and you will see the uncle parking his taufu cart at the kerb, right beside the bus-stop.
